My husband picked this spot for an early dinner after a day at Antietam. From the outside, I didn’t have high hopes and the inside feels mainly like a neighborhood bar. Don’t let that fool you! The food was fast and amazing. We had pickle fries, crab dip, fish & chips, and the Rachel. All excellent with great service too!

Great service. Great food. At a conference at Antietam and Captain Benders was recommended. It was great. I had the Crab cake chicken sandwich my buddy had the pretzels and French Onion soup. All good. Net the owner. Not only cute, but competent. Checking tables and making sure all were happy. I'll be back.

The “Hub City” salad and dressing add blackened salmon utter perfection. Wings are to die for, fresh cut fries, and homemade ceasar dressing on a stupendous salad with shrimp grilled to perfection. Service shines through like a star in the night.

We moved recently and Captain Benders was recommended to us. After biking the C&O canal, we decided to stop by and glad we did. My daughter and I thought our dishes were delicious. I got their Chicken Baltimore that had their crab dip on top of chicken breast. I will rate it a 9/10 and it was so yum I cleaned my whole plate even though I was so full! My daughter thought the burnside panini was really good too, gave it a 10/10, and didn’t notice the spice until after she devoured the whole sandwich (her spice tolerance is very low; it has pepper jack cheese & chipotle sauce). We will definitely be back to try other menu items we were curious to try.
